I also read "The Secret", and my take was that it's really just about increasing the priority of something in your life, which causes us (or most of us) to take action and obtain that object, situation, success, etc. Focus on it, and we will find a way to get it. I was speaking with one of my co-workers the other day about "The Secret" and I mentioned my thoughts above to her. She said that I didn't really get it, that "The Secret" is really about getting objects without having to do anything except focus on the fact that you want them. I asked her if this was working for her, and she said that she'd had her "wishes" posted on her fridge for 2 years and nothing had happened yet, but she was still focusing on them.
