		<description>How curious. I came here to look for the workbook links to send to friends... and I get this. The curious part is I&#039;m toying with writing a little article in a similar vein.

Skeptics: This process works. It&#039;s gold. Belief is an important part of it. If you don&#039;t believe it will work, it most surely won&#039;t.

		<description>&lt;em&gt;When you’re feeling scared or mad or depressed, you can’t just manufacture emotion to get yourself going.&lt;/em&gt;

You actually can very easily manufacture emotion by recalling a time when you felt the way you are wanting to feel in full, vivid detail, from the first person, and anchoring that state. For example, can you recall a time when you felt happy for no reason, or even overcome by uncontrollable laughter? Can you step into that memory fully and relive it NOW, seeing what you saw, hearing what you heard, and feeling what you felt, fully and completely? Can you now take that feeling and spin it in your body, moving it all around, such that it gets more and more intense and full, filling your every cell with overflowing ecstasy? And at the peak intensity of that feeling, can you squeeze your right fist to anchor that ecstatic feeling NOW?

See, not so hard. But if there is an objection to doing a process like that, you&#039;ll need to answer it fully or else it will say &quot;hey! Don&#039;t just go feeling good without listening to me!&quot; I recommend addressing the existing emotion first when possible due to ecology/congruence concerns. Then you do whatever you want in terms of eliciting a resource state.

If you can address the existing emotion--either with clear thinking, total acceptance of the physical sensations, asking for it&#039;s positive purpose, spinning the feeling in the opposite direction, tapping EFT style, or some other technique--then often you don&#039;t need to well up any specific emotion or resource. And in fact, action doesn&#039;t depend on emotion at all, but it is useful to have actions and emotions in alignment or else you are fighting against part of yourself.

		<description>Quickest way I know to change my negative mood is to watch a funny video, or read a joke. Laughing moves my awareness from in the dumps to ready to move and take action.
